Transfer Terrell Gomez commits to San Diego State

A season after getting transfers Malachi Flynn and KJ Feagin, who played big roles in San Diego State’s 30-2 season, the Aztecs get another big one in Terrell Gomez.

Gomez played for the CSUN Matadors in his first three seasons in college basketball, averaging 36.4 minutes per game, and shooting 44.2% from the field, 43.6% from beyond the arc and 89% from the free throw line.

In the 2019-20 season, the Los Angeles-native guard recorded career-highs in three-point shooting (44%), free throw shooting (94.8%), defensive rebounds (70), total rebounds per game (2.5) and points per game (19.8).

Last season, Gomez had season-highs in three-point field goals attempts and made in their Nov. 30, 2019, match against Mountain West foe Fresno State.

Gomez will replace the departing KJ Feagin, who was also a transfer last season who paid off big-time for the Aztecs men’s basketball squad.
