SDSU, San Diego Christian game cancelled due to coronavirus

The San Diego State Aztecs and San Diego Christian Hawks announced their matchup scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 28 had been cancelled with no make-up game after San Diego Christian’s program came up with a COVID-19 outbreak.

San Diego Christian has a (2-11) overall record this season and is (0-6) so far in their NAIA schedule. Other than NAIA, they have played D-2 Point Loma Nazarene and Biola, and D-1 UC San Diego and Cal Baptist this season. Their Dec. 30 and 31 games are currently at risk of being postponed or cancelled altogether due to the outbreak.

San Diego State’s non-conference season is officially over as they finish with a (8-3) record and winning their last three games over CSU Fullerton, Saint Mary’s and UC San Diego. They begin their conference season Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 on the road with UNLV.
