The last remaining unbeaten team in Division 1 college basketball, the San Diego State Aztecs (21-0, 10-0 MWC) head to Albuquerque, New Mexico, this Wednesday night to face possibly the hardest game remaining on their schedule against the New Mexico Lobos (16-6, 5-4 MWC).

The two teams have met 88 times and the Lobos lead the series 48-40. In fact, the Lobos are the only team in the entire conference that is leading the series over the Aztecs.

The Aztecs got an important road win Sunday against UNLV, breaking the program record for most consecutive wins and the best start to a season in their entire 99-year history. They are currently ranked No. 4 in the nation in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll and No. 2 in the NET Rankings.

The Aztecs have been up to the challenge in hostile environment road games this season with a 10-0 away/neutral record. However, they have only won 11 times in Albuquerque in 41 games between the two teams. San Diego State is an 80% favorite according to ESPN but as usual, the game is anticipated to be much closer than the odds predict.

The Aztecs are led by junior guard Malachi Flynn who averages 16.8 points and five assists per game.

On the other side, the Lobos are led by Jaquan Lyle and Carlton Bragg Jr. Lyle averages 17.1 points, four rebounds and five assists per game while Bragg Jr. averages 12.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

The game starts at 6 p.m. PT Jan. 29 from Dreamstyle Arena. The game will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network.
