The scorching hot No. 13 San Diego State Aztecs (14-0, 3-0 MWC) travel to Logan, Utah to face the struggling, but dangerous Utah State Aggies (13-3, 2-1 MWC).

The Aztecs have not lost a single game in the past 294 days, however, their last loss came against the same Utah State team in the Mountain West Championship (64-57) Mar. 6 in Las Vegas.

The Aztecs are one of two unbeaten teams remaining in the country, along with the Auburn Tigers (12-0).

San Diego State has proved themselves to be a dominant force on the road. In the first two months of the season, they have earned an impressive away-from-home record (6-0), although their Saturday night game will be just their fourth true road game of the season with three matchups coming on a neutral court.

This will all be put to the test against the Aggies who are 8-0 at home on the season. In fact, the Aggies haven’t lost a home game since their one-point loss to the Fresno State Bulldogs Jan. 9 of last season.

The Aztecs remain the No. 1 ranked team in the NET rankings, and are tied for the most Quad 1 wins in college basketball with four.

Both teams have key injuries heading into the biggest game of the year. Utah has lost forward Neemias Queta, and forward Nathan Mensah for San Diego State.

A key matchup in this game will be how Aztecs guard Malachi Flynn attempts to deal with Aggies guard and last year’s Mountain West Player of the Year. Both guards have led their team this season in many categories.

The Aggies are two-point favorites over the Aztecs and are somewhat in the neighborhood of 55 percent favorites. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
