San Diego Sockers forwards Luiz Morales, Gabriel Costa and defender Cesar Cerda were selected to play in the MASL’s first all-star game.
A total of 24 players were selected to the All-Star Game by a combination of players, coaches and media.
Fans will select the next four players from Thursday, Jan. 2 to Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m. PT and the Office of the Commissioner will select the last two players on Monday, Jan. 13.
Fans can vote for two forwards, one defender and one goalkeeper. Sockers forwards Tavoy Morgan, Keko Gontan and goalkeeper Boris Pardo are up for the fan vote.
Morgan and Gontan will be up for the fan vote against the Baltimore Blast’s Jonatas Melo, Chihuahua Savage’s Hugo Puentes, Dallas Sidekicks’ Esai Romero, Harrisburg Heat’s Joey Tavernese, Kansas City Comets’ Leo Acosta, Milwaukee Wave’s Ricardo Carvalho, and Utica City FC’s Nilton De Andrade and Nate Bourdeau.
Pardo will be up for the fan vote against Chihuahua goalkeeper Diego Reynoso.
The All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in Utica. N.Y. at the Adirondack Bank Center. The All-Star Skills Challenge begins at 3 p.m. PT and the game will begin at 4:15 p.m. PT.
