On Thursday, the San Diego Padres announced their first trade of July. Matt Wisler will go to Seattle for cash considerations.
Matt Wisler made his way to San Diego after being traded from the Braves to the Reds in which Atlanta gained Adam Duvall. The Reds designated him for assignment on March 28th, and on April 1st, the Padres acquired Wisler for righty Diomar Lopez.
In 29 innings, Matt Wisler struck out 34 batters and walked 10 while giving up 17 runs and 5 home runs. Wisler wasn’t a big part of San Diego’s bullpen as he appeared in 21 games.
