Jesse Cohen receives “AUDL Honor Roll” after 6 goal effort

Jonny Richardson - May 13, 2019

In his season debut against the Seattle Cascades in week 5, Jesse Cohen only came up with a goal and no assists. However, Cohen had a game to remember in his second of the season as he finished with 6 goals and 3 assists in San Diego’s 27-21 blowout win over the Aviators.

Jesse Cohen began his Ultimate career with the Growlers in their inaugural season. He played in San Diego from 2015-17 before going to the SoCal rival in the Los Angeles Aviators last season. He only spent one year in Los Angeles before coming back to San Diego for his fifth season in the American Ultimate Disc League.

Across 54 games, Cohen has a total of 119 goals with 118 assists, along with 30 blocks a plus/minus of 172. His 6 goals on Saturday tied a career-high. He also had 6 goals once in 2015, and once in 2017. Both coming against the Los Angeles Aviators. However, this one was his first 6-goal effort on the road.

The 5-year veteran still has his stuff and the Growlers are in need of that, despite starting 5-1. San Diego will see what he holds as the Growlers play the Aviators again in home territory.
