San Diego Wave FC and FOX 5 San Diego announced a partnership Friday morning that will see six matches aired locally in the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League season.
The first will come on April 1 when the Wave host North Carolina Courage at Snapdragon Stadium at 7 p.m. Fox will also air matches against Angel City FC (April 23, 7 p.m.) on the road, Portland Thorns FC (May 26, 7 p.m.) at home, Racing Louisville (Jun 9, 5 p.m.) on the road, Washington Spirit (July 8, 7 p.m.) at home, and Orlando Pride (August 25, 4 p.m.) on the road.
“This is a significant and exciting step forward for our club,” San Diego Wave FC President Jill Ellis said. “In our second year as a club, we want to be more accessible than ever before to San Diego, while providing our fans with as many ways as possible to experience Wave FC, both live at Snapdragon Stadium and on the broadcast. We’re excited that the viewership will continue to build the Wave brand and showcase the talent of this team and league.”
All six matches will also be available to stream locally and nationally on Paramount Plus.
