San Diego Wave FC midfielders Kimmi Ascanio, Melanie Barcenas, San Diego Surf SC defender Edra Bello and midfielder Jaiden Rodriguez were named to the U.S. Youth National Team training camp roster on Wednesday.

Training camp will take place in Atlanta, Ga. from July 8-16 in preparation for this year’s U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The tournament begins in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, and culminates in the Final match on Sunday, Nov. 3.

USA was named to Group B where they’ll face defending U-17 champion Spain, Korea Republic and Columbia.

The U.S. is slated to play their group play matches on Wednesday, Oct. 16 against Spain, Saturday, Oct. 19 against Columbia and Tuesday, Oct. 22 against Korea Republic.

Ascanio and Barcenas both played in the last tournament where the U.S. won the Final in the 2024 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship in Mexico in February.
