The San Diego Seals were winless, and then they weren’t. After pushing the game to a tie with under 30 seconds of regulation, the Seals went to overtime for the first time in franchise history and completed the 2019 year with the first victory of the 2019-20 season.

Forward Connor Fields scored his first career hat trick with a career-high four goals. The team’s top scorer, forward Wesley Berg scored a team-high five points, all of which were assists for a season-high in assists.
Forwards Jeremy Noble, Connor Kearnan, Zach Greer, Kyle Buchanan and Merrill also recorded multi-point performances in the Sunday afternoon showdown.
The Seals will return to the field on Jan. 12 when they return home for a division matchup against the Saskatchewan Rush at 1 p.m. PT from Pechanga Arena San Diego.
