SDSU SOFTBALL ADVANCES TO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
No. 2 San Diego State Aztecs softball advanced to the Mountain West Conference tournament final with a 7-0 shutout victory of the No. 4 San Jose State Spartans. After San Jose State took down No. 1 Nevada in the loser’s bracket, the Aztecs will once again host the Spartans in the championship game at 12 p.m. at the SDSU Softball Stadium. If they lose the first game, they will play a deciding second game following the first one.
PLNU BASEBALL FALLS IN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Point Loma Sea Lions baseball made their second straight PacWest championship game but fell to Azusa Pacific, 10-6. Point Loma will not get the auto-bid in the PacWest but will very likely still make the DII College World Series.
The Selection Show will be on Sunday, May 14 at 7 p.m. with the Regional rounds May 18-21. The highest seed of each four-team region will host this round.
