The Mountain West Conference announced four games this season that will air nationally on the main CBS channel, including the San Diego State Aztecs’ season opener against the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday, Sept. 3.
That game will also be the opener of Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego’s newest stadium, which began construction in 2020 and is nearing completion.
The Aztecs open their season against the PAC-12 opponent for the second of a two-game, two-year series between San Diego State and Arizona. Last season, the Aztecs won 38-14 in the Week 2 matchup.
This game will be a huge opportunity for San Diego State’s football program, and the brand-new Snapdragon Stadium, to be put on the national spotlight.
The FOX and CBS Sports Network schedules will be released Thursday, the MWC said.
