After being down by 11 in the second quarter, Ryan Agnew fires a 200-yard, two touchdown game for a come-from-behind victory over the Wyoming Cowboys.
The game started out slow for San Diego State as they could only get 123 yards, and put up a six on the board with a pair of field goals from kicker Matthew Araiza.
Things changed in the second half, however, as Ryan Agnew and the Aztecs offense came out aggressive and on the first two drives of the third quarter, they scored two touchdowns to take the lead.
On their next drive, Araiza missed his first field goal in eight attempts to end a career high. The Cowboys followed with a touchdown to retake the lead, 22-19.
On nine plays, which tallied 76 yards in 4 minutes, 34 seconds, Ryan Agnew completed his second pass of the night to Daniel Bellinger for the Aztecs’ second lead of the night.
San Diego State managed to hold off Wyoming in the last two minutes of the ballgame with an interception and a crucial first down to pull off the victory.
The Aztecs will go on the road next week for their seventh game of the season against the San Jose Spartans on the road. Kickoff will begin at 4 p.m. in San Jose at CEFCU Stadium.
