The San Diego State Aztecs finished the 2019 season at 9-3 and made their 10th consecutive bowl game.
After losing in the Frisco Bowl in an ugly showing in 2018, the Aztecs proved they were better than that, crushing the Central Michigan Chippewas 48-11.
Senior quarterback Ryan Agnew more than likely started his final game of football in spectacular fashion, throwing 287 yards on 18 completions including three touchdown passes, tying his career-best (Oct. 27, 2018 at Nevada, Oct. 5, 2019 at Colorado State).
Sophomore running back Jordan Byrd acquired career-highs with 138 rushing yards and a 58-yard run for his second longest run in 21 career games.
Freshman wide receiver Jesse Matthews had his best game of the season with 111 yards on three receptions and two touchdowns.
The Aztecs football season has officially wrapped up with their fourth 10-win season under head coach Rocky Long. The 2020 season is expected to begin in late-August.
