During a press conference between California Gov. Gavin Newsom and media reporters, Newsom told reporters that sports in the state of Calif. could return as soon as the first week of June.
This comes after the MLB owners sent a return-to-play proposal to the players union as they hope to come to an agreement, although the owners and players have been stuck on payroll issues.
California is the most recent state to name a date for the return of sports as other states are further into reopening their areas.
Of course, there wouldn’t be any fans allowed until positive cases go down further, but the world has been looking forward to the return of sports since the final games on March 13.
