After a 23-1 season, the Sockers look to get stronger as they acquire forward Slavisa Ubipraripovic from Utica City FC in exchange for Christian Segura.

Ubipraripovic adds to the number of stars the Sockers have acquired in recent years. He has 60 games played in his 3 seasons in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) with 58 goals and 57 assists.

The 32-year-old forward played with Syracuse for the first two seasons before going to Utica City FC last offseason. He will play for San Diego in the fourth season of his career.

The Sockers traded Segura, who played in 15 games for San Diego in his third year in the league.

Segura scores six goals while assisting five for an 11-point year in the 2018-19 MASL season. The 28-year-old forward appeared in the playoffs with the Sockers, scoring one goal in three games.
