The San Diego Gulls extended their point streak to seven games following a 4-2 win at home against the Bakersfield Condors. With the win, San Diego moved within a point of the Ontario Reign for fourth place and a playoff spot.
Chris Mueller, Daniel Sprong and Alex Broadhurst each scored a goal in the victory against the Condors. Anthony Stolarz stopped 31 shots for his 18th win of the season.
San Diego went on fire in the 2nd period, scoring three goals to take a commanding 4-0 lead.
Jack Kopacka gave San Diego their fourth goal, scoring just 21 seconds after the team grabbed a three-goal lead. Simon Benoit extended his point streak to a career-high three games after the assist.
The Gulls head to Iowa to begin a three-game road trip, beginning with the Iowa Wild on Feb. 14.
