After losing their two-goal lead, the San Diego Gulls battled back to overcome a late deficit and took the game into shootouts where San Diego’s Jack Kopacka scored the game-winning shot.
Kopacka played a large role in the 4-3 San Diego victory after scoring six minutes into the opening period. He also scored a power play goal that tied the game with just five minutes remaining in regulation.
With his two goals, and an additional point with an assist, Kopacka has gained four points in the past two nights.
Before the game, the Gulls signed left wing Brett Pollock to a professional tryout with the team.
The signing paid dividends Saturday night as Pollock earned the assist on each of the first two goals for his first career points.
The Gulls take a week off with the holidays as they will return to the ice Dec. 27 in Ontario to begin back-to-back games against the Reign.
