It will be the fifth meeting between the two teams this season. The Condors took the last one in a 2-1 home victory for Bakersfield. The Gulls have dropped three of four games so far against the divisional foe after going 6-4 last season.
In their latest matchup, the Gulls extended their winning streak to four games, tying their highest point this season. Center Sam Carrick scored two assists to add two points to his resume while defenseman Josh Mahura did his part with a goal and an assist.
Captain Carrick has done well against the Condors this season, scoring three goals and one assist to tally four points in four games.
In three games, Stolarz is 1-2 against Bakersfield this season. He saved 80 of 86 shots (.930 SV%) in those three games combined.
Left wing Tyler Benson has been the Condors’ best points-getter, tallying 32 points in 37 games played. The 22-year-old Bakersfield prospect has 10 multi-point performances with a team-leading 24 assists.
Last time the two teams met, goaltender Stuart Skinner was on a hot streak. In the two weekend games Jan. 3 and 4, Skinner saved 68 of 71 shots for two wins.
