Sam Anas scored two goals in Iowa’s 3-2 win on Wednesday night against San Diego, and Mitch McLain scored the game-winning goal for Iowa with 8:46 left in regulation Wednesday night.
San Diego kept the game close, keeping it 2-2 in the second period thanks to a power play goal by captain Sam Carrick. Carrick tallied his team-leading 19th point with the Gulls this season.
The Gulls and Iowa Wild will face off again Friday night at Pechanga Arena San Diego, with puck drop at 7 p.m. (PT).
