In a rematch of last week’s Saturday night game, the Stockton Heat (3-1) will come to town for the San Diego Gulls’ (0-3) home opener Friday night.
The Gulls will celebrate the team’s first home game of the season with free rally towels given to every fan in attendance as they enter. Pregame player introductions will begin around 6:55 p.m.
In the previous matchup between the pair of teams, the Stockton Heat came out on top to take first place in the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Pacific Division. The Gulls stand alone at the bottom of the division as the only team to go winless through the season’s first two weeks. They also stand with the Rockford IceHogs as the only two teams in the AHL not to win a game so far this year.
The Gulls are winless with the new head coach, Kevin Dineen, so far in three games and are still looking for their first win of the season with the first-place Stockton Heat in town.
The game will be available to watch on AHL TV’s Facebook Watch Game of the Week as well as AHL.TV’s subscription with puck drop set for 7 p.m. PT from Pechanga Arena San Diego.
