The San Diego Gulls made just 15 shots on goal during their 3-0 loss to the Colorado Eagles, giving them back-to-back losses against the Eagles.
They managed just five shots on goal in the first period, four in the second period and six in the third.
Colorado broke the tie with 12 seconds remaining in the second period when defenseman Jacob MacDonald scored an unassisted goal, his 24th of the season. He ranks ninth in the league in goals scored.
Colorado center Jayson Megna scored a shorthanded goal to double the Eagles’ lead and center Chris Wagner scored his 15th goal of the season in the third period.
San Diego went 0-for-2 on the power play, allowing a goal during that time. They were 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
