San Diego FC dropped their second match in club history where five goals were scored in a 3-2 defeat to the Colorado Rapids.
Midfielder Luca de la Torre tied the match in the 50th minute and forward Tomas Angel, just five minutes after entering the match, made it a one-goal game with an 89th-minute score.
San Diego managed just nine shots (four on target) to Colorado’s 21 shots (and nine on target).
Djordje Mihailovic opened the scoring on a penalty in the 37th minute. Colorado answered de la Torre’s 50-minute goal with goals from forwards Darren Yapi in the 53rd minute and Rafael Navarro in the 60th minute.
Goalkeeper CJ dos Santos made six saves but his three goals allowed tied a season high.
