San Diego FC’s 2025 inaugural regular season schedule and the rest of the Major League Soccer schedule was released on Dec. 19.
SDFC will open the season on Sunday, Feb. 23 with a 4 p.m. start against defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.
SDFC will then host their Inaugural Home Match on Saturday, March 1, a 7:30 p.m. start against St. Louis CITY SC at Snapdragon Stadium.
Eleven of San Diego’s 17 regular season home matches are Saturday night, 7:30 p.m. starts. They have three additional Saturday matches beginning at different times in April and May. The home schedule also features two Wednesday night matches and one Friday night match.
The 34-match schedule features two head-to-head matches between each team in both conferences. Each team then faces six teams from the other conference.
San Diego will host the Columbus Crew (Saturday, March 15), Toronto FC (Wednesday, June 16) and Nashville SC (Friday, July 25), and visit Charlotte FC (Saturday, April 19), Chicago Fire FC (Saturday, July 12) and Atlanta United (Saturday, Sept. 20). San Diego will not face Lionel Messi and Inter Miami FC or their social media-made rivals Cincinnati FC in their first season.
The season will pause from June 15-24 for the FIFA Club World Cup and Concacaf Gold Cup which will be played across 14 MLS stadiums in the United States and Canada.
The MLS All-Star Game in Austin, Texas, will be played on Wednesday, July 23, with the annual skills challenge on Tuesday, July 22.
The 2025 MLS schedule will also consist of the Leagues Cup between MLS and Liga MX clubs from July 29-August 31. The group play and playoff schedule for the in-season tournament will be announced at a later date.
Every match will be broadcast on Apple TV’s MLS Season Pass and weekly matches will also broadcast live on the FOX Sports Networks, TSN and RDS. SDFC’s first nationally-broadcasted match on the FOX Sports Network will be their Saturday, May 3 home match against FC Dallas on FS1. National TV games will also broadcast on Apple TV.
