San Diego FC will play three open preseason matches at the Coachella Valley Invitational ahead of their 2025 inaugural season.

Players will report to the club on Saturday, Jan. 11 with the first team training session on Monday, Jan. 13.

They’ll face New York City FC on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 12 p.m., the Portland Timbers on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 1:30 p.m., and the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. in Indio, Calif. for the Coachella Valley Invitational.

SDFC is one of 13 MLS clubs to participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational. The other MLS clubs will be Austin FC, Charlotte FC, Chicago Fire FC, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Minnesota United FC, Real Salt Lake, San Jose Earthquakes, St. Louis CITY SC and Sporting Kansas City.

They will host Phoenix Rising and Sacramento Republic, a pair of USL Championship clubs, in closed-door scrimmages on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 1 before they travel to Indio, Calif. For the Coachella Valley Invitational.

The season will start the Feb. 22-23 weekend with a road match against LA Galaxy, then host St. Louis CITY SC in the club’s inaugural home match on Saturday, March 1 at Snapdragon Stadium.

Tickets for the Coachella Valley Invitational will open on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. PT.
